The Click tips require no tools to change; simply insert the cord deep into the tip, twist and release. The tips will remain secure until you change them, thanks to the Clicks revolutionary locking mechanism!
The needles are great, but the supplier sold the product for $10 less on its site and, having brought the inconsistency to their attention, did nothing. Let the buyer beware...Again!

I'm a new knitter, and after using the KP trial interchangeable set, plus a fixed set of bamboo Hiya Hiyas, determined that I much preferred bamboo to the acrylic and nickel plated needle tips. The next hurdle in settling on the Clover set was narrowing the available sets that offered a 16" cable option, of which this was one of very few. I briefly considered the Hiya Hiya set, but was torn on whether to get the small set, the large set, or both, but decided that keeping up with cables for the 2 different sized sets would just get annoying. Thy pretty much sealed the deal for me on the Clover Takumis, and I couldn't be happier! The needle tips at light and velvety soft, and the wood quickly warmed within just a few rows of work. I've used them with wool as well as acrylic yarns, and they are equally as nice with both. The cables are very pliable, and I can't tell you how awesome the swivel feature is after having the KP needles come unscrewed on me a few times whe magic looping. The case they come with is second only to the Addi bamboo case, IMO, and I've gotten so many compliments on it. The only complaint hat I have after the monh or so that I've owned them is that I would have preferred that the cable storage wallet had separate pockets for each cable, rather than having 4 of them share 2 pockets (the 16" cable has its own "room"). It's a bit annoying to have to take both cables out and compare hem to determine which one is which. I actually have a handmade…

Also included are 3 cables of lengths 24", 32" & 40", plus a connector piece to combine lengths and a beautiful case to store your set's components.
The Addi Click Natura needle set is wonderful!I have other brands of interchangable needles. My first set was the inexpensive Denise. The work fine, but the cords are too thick for magic loop knitting, where the excess cord sticks out. I have Knitpicks interchangables, and they have a very nice point for fine work, but they screw together. On some, the connection cannot be tighened enough to prevent loosening, and I really hate having to stop every row to tighten. It's really a mess when they come off mid-row. The Knitpicks cords are fine. The surface on the Knitpicks needles is smooth, but a bit sticky - like paste wax - and some yarns really don't slide well.The Addis are GREAT. The bamboo is very smooth, and only slightly slower than metal needles (a plus for me, as I don't lose stitches off the needles as easily). Tips are more rounded than the Knitpicks, but I'm knitting with a fuzzy alpca yarn now w/o problems. The cords are flexible and do magic loop well. The joins are nice and smooth - the best of all the sets I have - and they stay together w/o any worries (they bayonet in and twist into a j-shaped channel.) I've read the Addi Lace Clicks lace have shorter needle attachments, and I was concerned that these would not be as comfortable to knit with. The needle attachments on the bamboo Clicks are long enough to hold and manipulate comfortably. These are a great set. I purchased a set of the lace needles after seeing them in September 2011. The first time I started knitting, the yarn caught on a flaw in the wood. I contacted Plymouth Yarn directly and they had a repacement needle to me in 2 days. After knitting half of a shawl, I noticed the cable was cracking. this time, when I contacted Plymouth Yarn, I was informed I would have to go through a retailer for a replacement. It's been a week and a half and I'm still waiting for a replacement cable. To continue the shawl, I used a different cable. Don't you know it--that cable is cracking! Now I wish I had purchased the Addi Click Set!
